Do you remember that night we lossed our innocence? On your step moms couch with the cosby show blaring in the background. And the very next night at church we were preached to about sex at a young age. Your hand softly slid up my skirt.
(my childhood flew away)

Every Saturday we’d spend the night at each others house. Once the parents went out to play cards at the neighbors we’d be up against the bathroom mirror. Friction between to writhing bodies only to finish in a blaze of white.
(white like snow but hot like fire)

Sometimes we’d skip school on Fridays just to drive away for the weekend to destinations unknown. I’d lay in the backseat watching the faces and neon signs melt together in a Deathcab For Cutie Melody.
(but there was no soul to this body)

Our hotel rooms consisted of the backseat of your car. Too broke to have a place to stay but I always came back with a memorie worth a million billion dollars. And each X on the calender became a vaction of a lifetime.
(a vaction for the hopeless)

At the same time of that hour when it is neither day or night my eyes wander to your vanilla wrist. Cherry colored track marks race across them in no pattern I could ever concieve. And maybe that was one of the many things I found so amazingly beautiful; all of your imperfections.
(they reminded me of what how I felt everyday)

I was walking through the city again today. Soflty a rain drop ran down my face and I looked up to the gray sky against gray walls. Nostalgia trapt within their crystal orbs escaped into the air. A smile formed on my lips as the droplets imploded around my feet.
(and my heart imploded with them)

It took you down with it. An alocohol overdose that baked your beautiful brain. The atmosphere became thick with the feeling of lose. You couldn’t reme, ber my name and became hungry for a feeling that did not exist. You went down hard.
(I think I’ll go down with you)

We could not guess what would happen next as we drove across the pavement so swiftly. The miles could not erase but could take our minds away. If only we could find a way to leave them here.
(then I wouldn’t have to think for you)

Over time I think you wanted to end it all. Trap this fantasy in an unknown destination where it would remain untouched until the end of time. Of course I want it if you want it too. Who would have guesses we were to become car crash victoms.
(guess sometimes dreams do come true)
Why did this world seem so much bigger from the backseat of your car?

great stuff, i dont think I'll be able to sleep tonight after reading all of your poems and songs.
do they all have to involve wrist cutting though?
