Against this sky set a blaze. This fire of tangy orange and romantic red will swallow me whole. Left under a satin sheet of black with little specks of glitter to inchant me. This wind is cool to my skin; goose bumps come with spring.
Today the sky is streaked a hue of grey where and a tint of grey there. Wind ripping roughly through the green canapy above my head. Birds of black and blue are bruises against the sky; they fly for shelter.
Rain drenches me into an alternate dimmension. I hear nothing but the songs of a thousand choruses hidden to the naked eye, Everything has a taste of water, a smell of earth. Vibrant splatters of paint against grey.
From yesterday to today; its almost as if the poles have reversed. Slowly, silently I slip off my shoes and sink my toes into the ground. Earth, wet, dark, soil, seeps between my milk white skin not yet kissed by the sun.
Gently, rough finger tips graze the tips of petals. A rainbow exploded and painted the world last night. Flowers feel like silk, their soft hues and audacious shades, like ornaments for the earth.
My eyes could stare up forever into the infinite blue sky. Its baby blue streaked with stripes of white. I feel so small against it. And suddenly the breeze picks sending white speckled dog wood petals around me; almost like snow.
And then the satin sheet of night falls upon us again. Running barefoot against tear streaked green fields chasing the lightning. Their sun yellow glow blinking on and off. Clasped into tiny fist until their set free.
Back against the black; a simple conpanion to the night. And these moments to have a sound; crickets and frogs. Their image lost to the miniature world benethe our very feet. It takes me back to the image of a childhood spring.
